Legal/Managerial Update: Town received new recording equipment. Manns was trained by town staff on the <br />use of the equipment. <br />Manns met with Morgan County Economic Development Director Mike Dellinger in regards to lot 15 in Flagstaff <br />Business Park. The town rezoned 85 acres on Bethel road from agriculture to industrial. An access road needs to <br />be created to open the acreage to development. <br />Manns said the traffic design for State Road 67 and Merriman will be completed soon, but will then have to go <br />to INDOT. Unclear if the project will be completed in 2021. <br />Review of Claims: The claims were presented in the amount of $9,110.25. Commissioner Perry made the <br />motion to approve the claims as presented. Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion which carried 4-0. <br />For the Good of the Order: School Rep. Moore requested information about the High Street project and the <br />trees that were taken down. Manns explained that the decisions about trees and landscaping were made by <br />INDOT. The Commission agreed to make the sidewalks and lighting match that on Indiana Street. <br />Manns explained that she asked the town to hold payment on a bond until she gets answers from INDOT in <br />regards to the work that was completed at State Road 67 and Merriman. Banning is waiting for INDOT to inspect <br />the work. It is a $6,000 bill that might have to be paid between meetings. <br />The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021. <br />Commissioner Taylor made the motion to adjourn.
