Superintendent Wilson informed the Park Board of an incident on Thursday, June 2. A vehicle with <br />four individuals inside was driving around town, firing gel balls out of their car. The vehicle went <br />through Pioneer Park and fired the balls toward our summer camp, where four staff and three <br />children were hit. There were no injuries, and the police apprehended the individuals in town. The <br />violators will be trespassed from the Park. <br />Assistant Superintendent Simpson received his Certified Pool Operator (CPO) License in April. He will <br />take the Certified Park and Recreation Professional Exam (CPRP) during the upcoming winter/spring. <br />Asst. Supt. Simpson informed the Board of the new employees and returning employees. List in pre - <br />meeting noted <br />The maintenance department is continuing to complete projects such as replacing toilets at OTP, <br />grass maintenance, mulching and inspecting playgrounds, and actively working on a solution to the <br />vandalism and graffiti at North Park. <br />Claims approved as presented. Motion made by David Pearson, seconded by Lynn Adams. Motion <br />carried. <br />The next meeting is on July 11, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Mooresville Public Library. <br />The meeting was adjourned by David Pearson, seconded by Danny Shaw.
