RESOLUTION NO. 2022-4 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE DECLARATORY <br />RESOLUTION AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE CONSOLIDATED <br />MOORESVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Mooresville Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission") <br />pursuant to IC 36-7-14 (the "Act") serves as the governing body of the Town of Mooresville <br />Redevelopment District (the "District"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has previously adopted and confirmed resolutions <br />(collectively, the "Declaratory Resolution") which established and expanded an economic <br />development area known as the Consolidated Mooresville Economic Development Area (the <br />"Economic Development Area"), designated portions of such area as allocation areas pursuant to <br />Section 39 of the Act and approved a development plan for the Economic Development Area (the <br />"Consolidated Economic Development Plan") pursuant to the Act; and m <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 15-17.5 of the Act, the Commission desires to amend the <br />Declaratory Resolution and the Consolidated Economic Development Plan by adding the <br />additional projects (the "Additional Projects") described in Exhibit A attached hereto to the <br />Consolidated Economic Development Plan (the Additional Projects referred to herein collectively <br />as the "2022 Amendment"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has caused to be prepared maps and plats showing the <br />boundaries of the Economic Development Area, the location of various parcels of property, streets, <br />alleys, and other features affecting the replatting, replanning, rezoning, redevelopment or <br />economic development of the Economic Development Area, and the parts of the Economic <br />Development Area that are to be devoted to public ways, sewerage and other public purposes under <br />the Plan, as amended by the 2022 Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has caused to be prepared a list of parcels it is considering <br />acquiring of the parcels located in the Economic Development Area and the owners thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed 2022 Amendment and supporting data were reviewed and <br />considered at this meeting; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town of Mooresville Redevelopment <br />Commission, as the governing body of the Town of Mooresville Redevelopment Department, as <br />follows: <br />1. The Commission hereby finds that it will be of public utility and benefit to adopt <br />the 2022 Amendment, and that the public health and welfare will be benefited by the 2022 <br />Amendment. The Commission further finds and determines that the 2022 Amendment is <br />reasonable and appropriate when considered in relation to the Consolidated Economic <br />Development Plan and the purposes of the Act, and that the Consolidated Economic Development <br />Plan, with the 2022 Amendment, conforms to the comprehensive plan for the Town.
