The Park was able to secure a 2023 Silverado 2500HD for $43,780. Supt. Wilson requested approval to <br />pay the $43,780 to purchase the truck. $35,000 coming out of the 2022 budget. The Board discussed <br />which account(s) were for the remaining $8780. Motion to approve the purchase of the 2023 <br />Silverado with $35000 out of the 2022 budget and the remaining $8,780 out of the NR Operating <br />fund. Motion made by Mark Taylor, seconded by David Pearson. Motion carried. <br />Supt. Wilson asked the Board for future additional purchases that would not affect the general <br />budget. <br />Assistant Superintendent Simpson briefed the Park Board on the "Rockin' Out at Pioneer Park," the <br />RECU Programs, and the Halloween Hike. <br />The maintenance department finished roofing the barn, sealing the covered bridge, and updating our <br />accessible parking spots accordingly in the park. We are beginning the process of being prepared to <br />winterize our bathrooms, bathhouse, etc. Additional maintenance items are Installing cornhole boards <br />at OTP and Pioneer Park, grass maintenance at parks, winterizing Park as necessary, and preparing for <br />Old Town Park Restroom Demo. <br />A woodchipper was stolen from Park property, and the Park Office filed a claim with the insurance <br />company. <br />Claims approved as presented. Motion made by David Pearson and seconded by Danny Shaw. Motion <br />carried. <br />Town Councilman Shane Williams spoke to the Park Board about Bicentennial Park. <br />Steve Buchanan representing the Villages of Eastmoor, spoke with the Park Board about <br />neighborhood land to be potentially donated to the park. Discussion ensued, and the topic will be <br />placed on the November 30 work session agenda. <br />The next meeting is on November 14, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Mooresville Park Office. <br />The meeting was adjourned by David Pearson and seconded by Lynn Adams.
