A motion was made for Keelan Simpson to attend Revenue Development and Management School in <br />March at Wheeling, WV using the credit from 2020. Motion made by Brent Callahan, seconded by <br />Mark Taylor. Motion Carried. <br />The motion to move the March Park Board to March 6 was made by Matt Saner and seconded by <br />Danny Lundy. Motion carried. <br />Citizen Bank asked former Park Board Member Brian Wiser to bring small community bands to <br />Bicentennial Park. Mr. Wiser asked the Park Board to approve four Saturdays to have small community <br />bands at Bicentennial Park. The tentative dates are June 3, July 15, August 12, and September 9; times <br />would be 7-10 pm. Discussion ensued. Motion to approve the four Saturday dates sponsored by the <br />Park to be at most $3500 out of N/R Operating Fund made by Mark Taylor, seconded by Danny Shaw. <br />Motion carried. <br />Our current version of website services and design will expire in August. Website security is <br />fundamental. The Park Board was asked to approve the expense of updating and redesigning the <br />website per the presented quote. Discussion ensued, and the decision was tabled until the incoming <br />Superintendent could review the website. <br />The slip and fall lawsuit from January 2022 have been dropped. The lawyers have submitted a motion <br />to dismiss any further action against the town or Park. <br />The electronic sign is not operational. The motherboard will likely need to be replaced, and a quote <br />will follow in the next couple of months. <br />Printed material for the concert series will come out in the next few weeks. <br />Asst. Supt. Simpson presented the January new hires to the Park Board. <br />Hiring for 2023 summer employment is underway, and the Park is working with the high school to <br />recruit lifeguards. <br />An additional evening maintenance person has been hired to spread out the workload. <br />RECU is running smoothly and holding employees to be accountable. <br />Daddy/Daughter Date night was a success, with 116 couples registered. <br />Summer registration will open on April 3. <br />-he Aquatic Center will open on May 20. The Park Board might need to evaluate the operating hours <br />if there are staff shortages. <br />The Park will host a sapling giveaway at Bicentennial Park on April 21. <br />
