<br />1. 300 or more head of cattle. <br />2; 600 or more head of swine, sheep or goats. <br />3. 1,500 or more head of poultry. <br />4. 10 or more head of horses or mules. <br /> <br />and lor any confinement feeding that exceeds per acre per <br />year for the entire farm: <br /> <br />1. 3 or more head of cattle. <br />2. 20 or more head of swine. <br />3. 150 or more head of poultry. <br />4. 10 or more head of sheep or goats. <br />5. 4 or more head of horses or mules. <br /> <br />and/or any area wherein 5 square feet or less of feed lot <br />area is provided per laying hen, or 8 square feet or less per <br />hog weighing less than 225 pounds, or 15 square feet or less <br />per lamb or ewe, or 50 square feet or less per heifer or <br />steer, or 100 square feet or less per beef and/or dairy cow <br />or bull, provided that this definition shall not apply to <br />operations involved in the processing of products of <br />confinement feeding operations. <br /> <br />FARM: An area used for agricultural operations including <br />truck gardening, forestry, the operation of a tree or plant <br />nursery, or the production of livestock and poultry except as <br />defined under "Farm, Confinement Feeding", and not including <br />the raising and breeding of dogs or other small animals <br />commonly kept as household pets; or the processing of farm <br />products produced on the farm by the resident owner or <br />tenant, but not including commercial or custom slaughtering. <br /> <br />FILLING OR SERVICE STATION: Means the same as "Automobile <br />Service Station." <br /> <br />FLOOD OR FLOODING: Means a general or temporary condition of <br />partial or complete inundation of normally dry land areas <br />from: a) the overflow of inland waters and/or b) the unusual <br />and rap~d accumulation of run-off of surface water from any <br />source. <br /> <br />FLOODWAY: Means the channel of a river or other water course <br />and the adjacent land areas that must be reserved in order to <br />discharge the base flood, without cumulatively increasing the <br />water surface elevation more than one tenth of a foot. <br /> <br />FLOODWAY FRINGE: Means that area of the flood plain subject <br />to inundation by the regulatory or base flood but located <br />outside the floodway. <br /> <br />FLOOD PLAIN: Means that area subject to inundation by the <br />regulatory or base flood but for which the flood way, fringe <br />delineations have not been provided. <br />7 <br />
