um <br />June 20, 2023 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 6:30 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were Council President Tom Warthen, Councilman Greg Swinney, Councilman <br />Shane Williams, and Councilman Josh Brown. Councilman Jeff Cook was absent. Town Attorney Chou-il <br />Lee was present. <br />Council President Warthen gave the invocation and called the meeting to order. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve the minutes of the May 23, 2023 joint Town Council / Planning <br />Commission meeting, and seconded by Councilman Williams. Motion Carried 3-0-1. Councilman Brown <br />abstained. <br />Councilman Brown motioned to approve the June 6, 2023 meeting minutes and seconded by Councilman <br />Swinney. Motion Carried 3-0-1. Councilman Williams abstained. <br />Unfinished Business — <br />Travelers Liability Insurance Quote - Brian Culp presented his insurance proposal that included a $5,000 <br />property deductible, an $84.6M blanket, and had a reduced premium of $325,985. The Cyber Insurance <br />would be an additional $16,622. There were some discussions about what would be covered under total <br />replacement, how the blanket limit was determined, and what the cyber insurance would cover. <br />Selective Liability Insurance Quote- Larry Long presented his insurance proposal, which included an option <br />for replacement costs that could exceed the $56M in assessed property value, as well as an increase in the <br />current cyber coverage. There was some discussion on the definition of guaranteed replacement and the <br />cyber coverage limits. <br />There were additional discussions about renewal dates, current pending claims, and interim coverage. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to table this issue to allow legal to review the proposals. Councilman <br />Williams Seconded, Motion Carried 4-0. <br />Declaratory Resolution 12-2023 Ascension Group LLC. Councilman Swinney made a motion to approve <br />Declaratory Resolution 12-2023. Councilman Brown seconded. Motion Carried 4-0. <br />Public Hearing Confirmatory Resolution 2023-13 Real Property Buffers USA Inc. There were no public <br />comments. <br />Councilman Brown motioned to close the public hearing with a second from Councilman Swinney. Motion <br />Carried 4-0. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve Confirmatory Resolution 2023-13. Councilman Brown <br />seconded. Motion Carried 4-0. <br />Public Hearing Confirmatory Resolution 14-2023 Personal Property Buffers USA Inc. There were no public <br />comments. <br />Councilman Brown made a motion to close the public hearing. Councilman Swinney seconded. Motion <br />Carried 4-0. <br />Councilman Swinney made a motion to approve Confirmatory Resolution 14-2023. Councilman Brown <br />seconded. Motion Carried 4-0. <br />Public Hearing Confirmatory Resolution 2023-15 Personal Property PacMoore Process Technologies, LLC <br />There were no public comments. <br />
