There will be more of an update in the near future. <br />Brownfield Assessment Grant: Commissioner Culp shared that on May 25, the Commission <br />received an email from EPA stating it was not selected as a recipient of the National Brownfields <br />Program Grant. Manns has requested a debrief with EPA. <br />New Business: <br />Pass Through Resolution 2023-3: Attorney Steuerwald presented Pass Through Resolution <br />2023-3. Annually by June 15`h of each calendar year, a determination must be made regarding <br />whether or not any incremental assessed value will be passed through to the underlying taxing <br />units. Commissioner Pipkin made the motion to approve Pass Through Resolution 2023-3 not <br />passing any incremental assessed value through. Commissioner Culp seconded them motion, <br />which carried 5-0. <br />Banner Request: A request was made by Council President Tom Warthen on behalf of the Town <br />Council for assistance in purchasing 197 new banners for the High Street and Indiana Street <br />decorative polls. The quote provided was for $19,890.00. Commissioner Pipkin made the <br />motion to approve the request and subsequent quote in the amount of $19,890.00. <br />Commissioner Culp seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Legal/Managerial update: Manns brough up the Main Street project which had been tabled last year <br />and asked if the Commission was in favor or moving forward with it at this time. After some discussion, <br />consensus was to move forward with issuing an RFP for engineering services in the near future. Manns <br />stated she would have that prepared for the July meeting. <br />Attorney Steuerwald discussed the statutory changes in the 2023 Legislative Session to Housing TIF, <br />making the creation such TIF's less cumbersome moving forward. <br />Review of Claims: The claims were presented in the amount of $7,537.79. Commissioner Culp made the <br />motion to approve the claims as presented. Commissioner Heidenreich seconded the motion, which <br />carried 5-0. <br />
