Motion carried 5-0. <br />Town Council Comments — <br />Councilman Cook voiced his dissatisfaction with the current animal control contract, expressing concern <br />that the current contractor is no longer trapping cats for sterilization and release. He also mentioned that <br />the contractor is neglecting their duties and failing to provide proper service to the town. Councilman <br />Cook requested the Town Attorney to explore potential remedies for the situation'. <br />Town Attorney Lee acknowledged the issue and suggested addressing it in the budget planning for the <br />current year. He also mentioned that he would investigate the non -receipt of contracted services. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, August 1, <br />2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion to adjourn was made by <br />Councilman Swinney and seconded by Councilman Williams.
