RESOLUTION NO. 27-2023 TOWN COUNCIL OF MOORESVILLE, INDIANA A Resolution Approving and Adopting a Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Mooresville, Indiana WHEREAS, the Town of Mooresville recognizes the importance of planningfor future development and investment in Mooresville and surrounding areas; and, WHEREAS, the Town of Mooresville retained the services of HWC Engineering to facilitate and develop a Comprehensive Plan for Mooresville in accordance with Indiana Code §36-7-4-500 et. seq.; and, WHEREAS, the Town of Mooresville solicited input from the community and other stakeholders to inform the vision, goals, and action items included in the plan; and, WHEREAS, the Mooresville Advisory Plan Commission did on September 14, 2023 hold a legally advertised public hearing to consider adoption of the Comprehensive Plan and voted to send a favorable recommendation to the Town Council by a vote of four (4) yeas and zero (0) nays; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council found that the Comprehensive Plan attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A meets the requirements of Indiana Code §36-7-4-500 et. seq., and this Comprehensive Plan is approved for the promotion of the public health, safety, morals, convenience, order, or the general welfare and for the sake of efficiency and economy in the process of development. BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Council of Mooresville, Indiana, having reviewed and considered the Comprehensive Plan, now hereby approves and adopts the Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Mooresville, Indiana. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and upon its adoption and recordation in accordance with the law. All prior adopted resolutions and exhibits or parts thereof in conflict herewith are superseded by this Resolution. [The remainder of this page intentionally left blank; signature page follows.]
