Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br />Police Department Ernie Wilson <br />Fred Settle <br />Christopher Hobbick <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />These are the minutes of the scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission, held at <br />the Mooresville Police Department on September 21, 2023. <br />Members Present: Christopher Hobbick, Ernie Wilson, Fred Settle <br />Also Present: Captain John Forbes, Attorney Charles Braun <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Commissioner Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from the July 20th meeting. <br />Commissioner Fred Settle seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Old Business <br />No old business at this time. <br />New Business <br />Commissioner Hobbick advised that Chief Buckner had completed a new SOP regarding <br />Incident Reporting, that covers completing incident and accident reports. Commissioner Ernie <br />Wilson made a motion to approve the SOP. Commissioner Fred Settle seconded the motion. No <br />discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Commissioner Hobbick advised that the next SOP that was presented before the Police <br />Commission, Property and Evidence Control. Attorney Charles Braun discussed the SOP in great <br />length and the changes that need to be made to the SOP. Commissioner Ernie Wilson made a <br />motion to table the approval of the SOP until the next meeting. The motion died for a lack of a <br />2"a Commissioner Fred Settle made a motion to approve the SOP with the changes discussed by <br />Attorney Charles Braun. Commissioner Ernie Wilson seconded. Motion passed unanimously. <br />The next meeting will be held on October 19, 2023. <br />
