1928 <br />Department Head Reports - <br />Dave Moore requested the Town Council approval to rent twenty-six porta patties, two handicap porta <br />potties, and two handwashing stations for the Eclipse weekend. There was a discussion about using the <br />Riverboat as the funding source. Councilman Brown motioned to proceed with the rental using the <br />Riverboat Machine and Equipment Fund, seconded by Councilman Swinney. The motion carried 5-0. <br />Park Superintendent Phil Cornelius provided an update on the improvements at the Old Town Park, <br />highlighting efforts to restore the old merry-go-round in response to community feedback. <br />Legal — <br />There were none. <br />Public Comments — <br />Regina Shelby with Mooresville 200" mentioned the upcoming public meeting about the Eclipse weekend <br />on Tuesday at the High School auditorium at 6:30. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve claims for $1,253,875.29, seconded by Councilman Brown. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve payroll clearing for $220,264.32, seconded by Councilman <br />Brown.
