Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br />Police Department Ernie Wilson <br />Fred Settle <br />Chris Hobbick <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />These are the minutes of the scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission, held at <br />the Mooresville Police Department on March 21, 2024. <br />Members Present: Chris Hobbick, Ernie Wilson, Fred Settle <br />Also Present: Chief Kerry Buckner, Attorney Charles Braun <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Commissioner Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from the January meeting. <br />Commissioner Settle seconded. No discussion. The motion was passed unanimously. <br />Commissioner Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from the February Executive <br />meeting. Commissioner Settle seconded. No discussion. The motion was passed unanimously. <br />Commissioners Hobbick, Settle and Wilson signed the notice for the regular February meeting <br />that was cancelled. <br />No old business for the Police Commission. <br />No old business for the Chief of Police. <br />No old business for the Attorney. <br />No new business for the Police Commission. <br />Chief Buckner presented two SOPS for the Police Commission to approve. The first SOP is the <br />Police Vehicle Operations, which combined 5 previous SOPS. There was some discussion. <br />Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve the SOP as written. Commissioner Settle <br />seconded. The motion was passed unanimously. <br />Christopher Hobbick and Attorney Braun advised that the following SOPS would need to be <br />rescinded since they were combined into one: 8.4, 8.6, 9.0, and 9.01. Commissioner Settle made <br />a motion to approve the rescinding of the above SOPS. Commissioner Wilson seconded. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />
