0MONTHLY MOORESVILLE PARK BOARD MEETING MINUTES <br />October 07.2094 <br />7. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />7.1 Assistant Superintendent Report <br />7.1.1 Fall Break will begin on October 11 and run through the following week, October <br />18. We have 31 signed up for that week. The camp will run at Neil Armstrong <br />Elementary School. <br />7.1.2 The Halloween Hike scenes are pulled and painted. Volunteers are steadily <br />coming in and have ten stations to fill. We are collecting donations and have <br />begun gathering candy and trinkets to pass out at the stations that don't have <br />sponsors. Flyers are going out to school this week. The Halloween Hike will rur <br />on Saturday, October 26, from 3 to 5 pm. <br />7.1.3 Our Mother -Son Campout was on September 21. About 40 people attended, <br />and about 20 stayed overnight in the park. We could not have a bonfire because <br />of a burn ban, but we made the best of it, and everyone had fun. We'll go back <br />and see how we can improve this even further <br />7.1.4 The PT RECU B&A positions were posted on Indeed and got a few interviews. <br />Unfortunately, a few have told us they have found other opportunities. We got <br />one -morning staff this round but still need two to three more. <br />7.2 Superintendent Report <br />7.2.1 Legal is still drafting the agreement for the project. The Schematic Design is <br />completed, and V3 is beginning the steps toward construction documentation. <br />Meyer Najem is currently reviewing the Schematic Design and working on final <br />pricing to reach that guaranteed maximum price, which will then be ready to be <br />included in the agreement. <br />7.2.2 Park staff sat down with C21t Consulting and other departments to discuss the <br />Town's website. <br />7.2.3 The Town Council reviewed the budget and conducted the first reading <br />this past week. They will finish the process at the end of the month. We <br />have received word that the Council has established $200,000 in the food <br />and beverage fund for next year to be used for park improvements and <br />fireworks. <br />7.2.4 The Park has yet to receive word from INDNR about the LWCF Grant. We <br />expect a response the week of October 14 at the earliest. <br />7.2.5 Concession 3rd party options are still being researched. <br />7.2.6 DG Graphics is fabricating the replacement Pioneer Park Entrance sign and <br />plans to install it within the next six weeks. <br />7.2.7 House demolition of J1 & S1 at the end of the month; the week of October <br />28. <br />
