Town attorney Tim Currens
was also absent.

A motion to approve the minutes of the May 13, 2004, meeting, as typed, was made by
Donald Barry, second by Chris Crouch. Motion carried 3-0.

The first item on the agenda was Jim Rose for BP Amoco, asking for a variance for moving
an existing sign. Mr. Rose explained that the State is widening the intersection at State Road
67 and Bridge Street, making it necessary to move the existing signs. The sign will be moved
to the south about 40 feet and be about 6 feet from the finished curb. After looking over the plans
the
considerations for variance from development standards were read. With no further questions
from the Board or the floor, a motion to approve the petition for the variance was made by Chris
Crouch second by Donald Barry. The motion carried 3-0 with none opposed.

The second item for the board was Dale Coffey, for Ed Bartley and Jim Remster asking for a
variance for an advertising structure at High Street and State Road 67. This variance was tabled
from the May meeting. The variance is for use and from development standards. Mr. Coffey
explained; that the structure would be of steel poles, holding four signs. The structure will be
35 feet high with signs being IOx6x36 feet. The structure would also be closer then 500 feet
away from the intersection of State Roadsl44 and 67. Also the structure will be more 500 feet
from Town Park property. A notice was sent to the park and a second letter was delivered by
Ross Holloway to Brent Callahan, June 10, 2004, to remind Brent oftonights meeting.
the other point was a use variance because of the property being zoned B-2. Donald Barry
asked Mr. Coffey what the answer from the State was concerning the less than 500 feet from
The Highway. Mr. Coffey stated that the State has given them a permit for the structure being
built where proposed. Donald Barry asked Mr. Coffey if the Park Board had given a waiver,
Mr. Coffey stated that they had not. Mr. Coffey asked the Board to grant the variance with
stipulation that a waiver would be received from theJÆaJï!I,J¡0M.dü~~ng that the Board did not
want to influence another board a motion was made~tê 6ì'ß'í'et1ñsrë(1"uest until the July meeting.
Second by Chris Crouch.
