<br />- . <br /> <br />MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 1996 THURSDAY, 7:30 P. M. <br />MOORESVILLE TOWN HALL <br /> <br />The Mooresvil1e Plan commission met in regular session on <br />Thursday, September 26, 1996 at 7:30 P. M. at the Mooresville <br />Town Hall. <br /> <br />Commission members present were Joel Beebe, Bill Abbott, Mike <br />Young, John Ehrhart, Vern Kimmell, Tim Bennett, Tim Cummins, <br />and Art Raney. Charles McGuire was absent. <br /> <br />Motion was made by commissioner Raney, second by commissioner <br />Bennett to ap~rove the minutes of the August 22, 1996 <br />meeting. Mot10n carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Town Center IV Plat was presented for final plat <br />approval. Motion was made by Commissioner Abbott, second by <br />commissioner Kimmel to approve section IV Plat subject to the <br />payment of Availability Fees and Performance Bonding, a <br />verbal O. K. approval from Building Inspector Joe Beikman of <br />construction Plans, and subject to a Landscape Mounding <br />provision on the Plat. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />Town Attorney Tim Currens reported the Kennel at Jim <br />Hensley's home is now in compliance with our Town Ordinance. <br /> <br />A discussion occured concerning the home at 218 East South <br />Street. A letter was sent to the Town of Mooresville <br />indicating the owner of the property had decided not to <br />pursue restoration of the home. The letter was written by <br />Joanne stuttgen, President of the Morgan County Historical <br />Preservation Society. The owner of the property was present <br />at the meetin9 and addressed the Plan Commission. She stated <br />the property 1S secured and she would like to present a plan <br />at the next Plan commission meeting. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Raney, second by Commissioner Cummins to <br />continue this matter to the October 24, 1996 meeting. Motion <br />carried 8-0. <br /> <br />A report on the mini barn located at 54 Crosby Rd., which was <br />in violation of a Town Ordinance, indicated a variance had <br />(~been applied for by the property owner and had been denied. <br />b\ The property owner has thirty days to move the mini barn. <br /> <br />An ins~ection made by Fire Inspector Jim Bruner has concluded <br />{the bU1ldin9 at 39 & 39 1/2 West Main Street is unsecured <br />c('with some f1re and electrical hazards. Town Attorney Tim <br />Currens will contact the property owner with this <br />information. <br /> <br />'--- <br />
