MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION MINUTES

'--

Thursday, February 22, 1996 - 7:30 P.M.
Mooresville Town Hall

The Mooresville Plan Commission met for their regular
scheduled meeting on Thursday, February 22, 1996 at 7:30 P.M.
at the Mooresville Town Hall.

Plan Commission members present were Bill Abbott, Vern
Kimmel, Joel Beebe, Charles McGuire, Tim Bennett, Authur
Raney, Mike Young, John Ehrhart, and Tim Cummins. No members
were absent.

Motion was made by Charles McGuire, second by John
Ehrhart to approve the minutes as amended for the January
25th, 1996 Plan commission meeting. Motion carried
unanimously.

Mr. Ross Holloway (Karrington Estates) appeared before
the Commission to request permission for use of a temporary
driveway off of Hadley Road until the weather breaks. There
is a stipulation at this time, no drives accessing on Hadley
Road.

~

Motion was made by Bill Abbott, second by Art Raney to
waive the restriction of no driveway accessing on Hadley Road
for a ninety (90) day period. Motion carried unanimously.

A discussion of property at 5 East Harrison Street (a
garage) with a request to rezone property from B-2 to B-3.
It was not possible to rezone just the garage. Someone lives
upstairs in the house on the same property. The garage is
not in violation at this time. B-2 is adequate zoning -but
the property owner needs to apply for a variance. Request
was withdrawn. Wendall Thaylor, adjoining property owner
asked if B-2 allowed for outside storage. Plan commission
answered "no".

Chairman Joel Beebe opened a letter sent to the Plan
Commission concerning property located at 128 East South
Street. The person questioned the selling of used cars on
the north side of South Street at the railroad. The property
is zoned Industrial - 1. Auto sales is a permitted use. The
Plan Commission will respond to the letter as a matter of
common courtesy.

1-

commission member, Mike Young, asked if anyone knew what
was happening at the Automotive Armature. Cars are parked on
both sides of Indianapolis Road. They are not in violation
if the cars wheels are off the pavement. The parking lot
across the street from Automotive Armature now belongs to
Nice-pak. The lot is zoned R-I. It's non-conforming use
