<br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met in a specially called <br /> <br />'-- <br /> <br />wor\ session to review the proposed ordinance changes at the Town <br /> <br />Hal:. with Board Members Joel Beebe, william Abbott, Vern Kimmell, <br /> <br />Shirley Welker and Charles McGuire being present along with <br /> <br />counsel, Tim Currens and Building Inspector Joe Beikman. The <br /> <br />meetj.ng was called to order at 7:00 p.m. William Abbott made a <br /> <br />motion to keep the R-1 classification and to provide sub- <br /> <br />classes of types of R-1 uses within it and to develop various <br /> <br />degrees of development standards within the subclasses. This was <br /> <br />seconded by Shirley Welker and unanimously passed. The Board <br /> <br />proceeded to a discussion of changes with input from the floor, <br /> <br />which included Alan Kramer, Pat Carroll, Darryl Skipworth and <br /> <br />other that proceeded with the discussion. After a substantial <br /> <br />review of the R-l classification the following recommendations <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />were approved and recommended for the public hearing: <br /> <br />1. That the minimum lot size for any use not on a private <br /> <br />sewer shall be increased from 35,000 to 43,560 square fe1~' with <br />the septic system still being subject to the approval of the Board <br /> <br />of Health. <br /> <br />2. That the R-~ zoning classification be broken down as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />a. R-1(a) _ lot size 24,000 square feet minimum, size of the <br /> <br />home 1,800 square feet minimum, minimum of 1,350 on ground floor <br /> <br />area; to be defined as low density residential. <br /> <br />~þ <br />
