<br />I <br /> <br />"f . <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />and Bob Tucker stated that at the southwest corner of State Road 42 <br /> <br />and Bethel Road was an individual selling Christmas trees. <br /> <br />He asked whether the board should send a letter indicating that <br /> <br />the owner was improperly running a business out of his home. <br /> <br />Bill <br /> <br />Abbott felt that the building inspector should look at the <br /> <br />property first. <br /> <br />Inspector Beikman said unless there is a formal <br /> <br />complaint in writing or unless he is directed specifically by <br /> <br />the board to investigate complaints, that he will not take any <br /> <br />action on verbal complaints. <br /> <br />The board agreed that a written <br /> <br />complaint should be forwarded before any action is taken. <br /> <br />Signe Nicholson felt that there aught to be a published <br /> <br />policy of the board showing how complaints would be handled by <br /> <br />the board. <br /> <br />Chairman Nicholson then indicated that the town was considering <br /> <br />annexing outside of the town and county boundaries and felt that <br /> <br />there was a need for an economic development plan and would <br /> <br />entertain a motion to recommend to the town council to move in <br /> <br />that direction. <br /> <br />Bob Tucker responded that we now have an economic development <br /> <br />commission and felt that it would be their responsibility to <br /> <br />make any such proposal. <br /> <br />Dave Barry stated that this board was not <br /> <br />¡?~, <br />economic development WJ..1 whn11'à Bet Bß iR·.81vçd <br /> <br />,~¡j£~ <br />~p;-¡;~t in <br /> <br />wlLn even maklng <br /> <br />any StIch recomme~. <br /> <br />Bill Abbott said he did not want to get involved and Steve <br /> <br />Edwards agreed. <br /> <br />The board then moved on to old business, finding none, <br /> <br />Chairman Nicholson went on to the building inspector's report. <br /> <br />-0- <br />
