The Board discussed the progress on this property, and Bill Abbott made a motion that Joe Beikman write a letter to the Lowrys setting out a sequence to complete the minimum standards to meet the ordinance requirements and to have the same completed by the next meeting date on March 23, 1989. This was seconded by Signe Nicholson and unanimously carried. The next item to come before the Board was a review of the land use maps. Signe Nicholson showed the respective maps which had been prepared by the committee and explained toe steps and criteria used in the formation of the proposed use maps. In par- ticular, the balance of the respective uses were discussed, along with the specific written criteria behind the use maps and Master Land Use Plan. Various areas were discussed in detail and ques- tions were answered by Signe and other committee members. Robert Tucker questioned the procedure for approval of the maps and the public hearings. The Board's Attorney outlined the statutory hearing requirements, with final approval being left to the Town Board. Dave Barry questioned whether or not the whole ordinance would be redone due to the difficulties in incorpor- ating substantial amendments over several years. The Board agreed with Dave Barry that a new ordinance should be introduced and passed on to the Town Board for approval as a part of the Town's update of the Master Land Use Plan and ordinances.
