MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION

'--'

The Mooresville Plan Commission met at the Town Hall on

Thursday, July 27, 1989, at 7:30 p.m. Present were Board Members

William Abbott, Steve Edwards, Vern Kimmel, Shirley Welker, Warren

Franklin, Dave Barry, and secretary Robert Tucker who chaired the meet-

ing. Building Inspector Joe Beikman was present along with Economic

Developer Randy Haymaker and the Board's Attorney Timothy C. Currens.

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Tucker, who determined

there was a quorum present and proceeded with the approval of the

minutes of the prior meeting.

The first item on the agenda was the unsafe building violation

continued on Jerry Graybill at 125 East High Street. The building

inspector Beikman advised that much of the work had been completed

but footers were still needed on onefside along with the roof and

some interior work. Chairman Tucker advised that the decision was

made at the last meeting for all violations to be corrected by

5:00 July 28, 1989. Chairman Tucker then asked Mr. Graybill how

long it would take him to finish. Mr. Graybill advised that he

has purchased all material needed and that the carpenters were

working and should be completed by tomorrow with all major structual

repairs. Building Inspector Beikman advised that if the footers

were put in and the rest of the roof completed substantial com-

pliance would be met. Steve Edwards then moved to continue this

matter until the August 24th meeting with completion to be done by

that date and time. This was seconded and unanimously carried.

The next item to come before the board was the unsafe violation

on the Kinnett property at 5 East Harrison Street.
