<br />enforcement policy "The Highway Beautification Act" was not sufficient. <br /> <br />The board responded with what their current ordinance covered along <br /> <br />with the fact that his proposals would not allow for any billboards <br /> <br />within our <br />.$¡,e.ct' <br />~ from <br /> <br />jurisdiction since no area would be less than one thousand <br /> <br />a residential area. <br /> <br />The board stated that they would <br /> <br />consider his request and proposals and review the same. <br /> <br />The next person to come before the board was Lewis Truax who <br /> <br />had a complaint regarding the business at the rear of 39 West Main. <br /> <br />In particular, he stated that the vehicles abandoned in the alley <br /> <br />were an eyesore. <br /> <br />The board agreed to look into this. <br /> <br />The next item to come before the board was the follow-up on <br /> <br />the Hatmaker property on Victor Drive. <br /> <br />The board agreed that they <br /> <br />had received complaints and that some of the violations from the <br /> <br />.... <br /> <br />original lawsuit had continued. A motion was made by Bill Abbott <br /> <br />and seconded by Joel Beebe to enforce any violation. <br /> <br />The next person to address the board was Raymond Bower who had <br /> <br />a complaint against Joan's Unique Catering, a business in Summer <br /> <br />Place addition off of Johnson Road. <br /> <br />He provided a yellow pages ad <br /> <br />showing this as a business at the residence. <br /> <br />The board moved to <br /> <br />request the owner to appear at the next meeting, the motion was made <br /> <br />by Steve Edwards, seconded by Dave Barry and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />The next person to come before the board was Gene Kenworthy <br /> <br />regarding a rezoning for Cecil Rogers at 201 East Washington Street. <br /> <br />He advised that he had filed for the rezoning earlier and failed to <br /> <br />show at the May meeting. <br /> <br />The board's attorney advised that he <br /> <br />would have to give notices again and no new filing fee would be <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />required since it was currently on file. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
