<br />r-- <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />"- <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at a regularly called session on the <br /> <br />23rd day of January, 1986 at the Mooresville Town Hall. Present were Board <br /> <br />Members David Barry, William Abbott, Stephen Edwards, Tilford Bailey, and Vernon <br /> <br />Kimmel. Also present was Building Inspector Joseph Beikman and the Board's <br /> <br />Attorney, Timothy C. Currens. Chairman Barry acknowledged that a quorum was <br /> <br />present and proceeded to the approval of the minutes of the last meeting. The <br /> <br />Board then opened up the reorganization elections for the 1986 calendar year. <br /> <br />William Abbott nominated Stephen Edwards for Chairman. This was seconded by <br /> <br />Tilford Bailey. Tilford Bailey moved the nominations be closed. This was <br /> <br />seconded by William Abbott. The vote was unanimous. The nominations for Vice- <br /> <br />Chairman were then opened and Tilford Bailey nominated William Abbott and this <br /> <br />was seconded by Vernon Kimmel. Tilford Bailey moved that the nominations be <br /> <br />closed and this was seconded by Vernon Kimmel and unanimously carried. The <br /> <br />Board then opened up nominations for Secretary and Dave Barry nominated Tilford <br /> <br />Bailey. This was seconded by Vernon Kimmel. Steve Edwards moved that the <br /> <br />nominations be closed. This was seconded by William Abbott and Tilford Bailey <br /> <br />was unanimously elected. <br /> <br />The Board then discussed the access situation off of South Indiana Street <br /> <br />by Taco Bell for the proposed ground they were purchasing. This was brought <br /> <br />before the last Town Board meeting and the Plan Commission felt that ultimately <br /> <br />it might be a problem for both the purchaser and the Town due to traffic and the <br /> <br />number of street cuts off of Indiana Street. For this reason they requested that <br /> <br />the attorney contact the attorney for the Hasten brothers to see if the Town <br /> <br />Board and the Plan Commission and the obher parties might meet to discuss this. <br /> <br />The Board then reviewed letters from the Times and WCBK requiring notice <br /> <br />of hearings along with a letter by the Department of Natural Resources regarding <br />
