MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION

'--

The Mooresvil1e Plan Commission met at its regularly called session on the

27th day of February, 1986 at the Mooresville Town Hall. Present were Board

Members Steve Edwards, William Abbott, Wendell Thaler, Tilford Bailey, David

Barry, Ron Alexander and Vernon Kimmel. Also present was the Building Inspector,

Joseph Beikman and the Board's Attorney, Timothy C. Currens. Chairman Edwards

acknowledged that there was a quorum present and proceeded to approval of the

minutes of the last meeting.

The Board then proceeded to business from the floor. Jerry Mayfield was

present and had some questions regarding an easement on his property. The

Board's Attorney explained the process which would be necessary to have the platted

easement withdrawn. Next Mr. Mayfield raised a question regarding a business

use at 102 Sweetwood Drive. He stated that there was a manufacturing of wood

products and sawdust and traffic in the area. He also stated that there was a

'--

problem with a semi being parked in a residential area in violation of the Town

ordinance at the curve on Arlington and Crestwood. The Board determined that

there was reason to believe that a business usage was occurring in this residential

area and requested the Board's attorney to request the owners of the property to

appear at the next meeting.

The Building Inspector then gave his report of 5 permits and 9 inspections

for the month.

The Board's Attorney reported that the Hasten property and the Taco Bell

proposed purchase was coming before the Board of Zoning Appeals at its next

meeting and for that reason any discussion regarding access problems would be

tabled until after this is done.

There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was

~~

adjourned upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously carried.

~{~ JJM1;

Chairman
