RALPH M. LETT

Anomey at Law
51 East High Street
Mooresville, IodiaDa 46158

'-

831-3030

June 27,l978

Mr. David Lawson
llO S. Washington street
Danville, Indiana 46122

RE: James Rippy

~

Dear Dave,
I was pleased to talk to you this afternoon and can
assure you that Mr. James Rippy is not conducting a business
at his residence known as 66 Sweetwood Drive, Mooresville,
Indiana. It is true that he does have recording equipment on
his premises which is qualified as non-professional equipment.
Its sole purpose is for home entertainment. On occasion a few
of the boys will get together and have a little "jive" session.
The boys have not even met since the first part of December,l977.
The business cards which you referred to in your letter of
June 26, 1978 were not printed or ordered by Mr. James Rippy,
but by a third party which I presume was more or less a joke
of the group involved.
For your information the parties who made this complaint
have complained numerous times against their neighbors. As
you know, neighborhood complaints can snowball and in each
instance if the parties were pinned down specifically, they
wouldn't know what they were complaining about. However, I
can assure you this complaint was totally unfounded.
If you hear anything further in connection with this
matter I would appreciate it if you would advise me.
All neighbors aren't as vindictive as others, for instance,
the parties who have been complaining have a mobile home parked
in his driveway for over a week and have been using is as
living quarters.
