<br />.... <br /> <br />,/ <br /> <br />MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />The Mooresvi11e Plan Commission met in regular session on <br />December 16, 1976, at 7:30 P.M. Members in attendance were: <br />Robert Farmer, Steve Edwards, Lewis Truax, Rebecca Hardin, Tilford <br />Bailey, Eweather Stephens, and Attorney David E. Lawson. <br /> <br />Minutes of the October and November meetings were read and <br />approved as read. <br /> <br />Docket #9, 1976 , was presented in behalf of Petitioners <br />Paul A. and Elizabeth Taylor by Attorney John Mills. The petition <br />asked that one and one half acres of land on the East side of <br />South Indiana Street and North of the J & L Service Station be <br />rezoned from residential A to Local Business. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />All legal documents were examined by attorney Lawson and <br />found to be in order. Attorney Mills pointed out that the land has <br />a sanitary easement and that zoning of Local Business is consistent <br />with current uses of a4jacent land. There were no ~emonstrators. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Rebecca Hardin that the Plan Commission <br />recommend to the Town Board that rezoning as requested be granted <br />subject to the 60 day requirement after Publication and no construct- <br />ion is to begin until annex ation of the ground is finalized. The <br />motion was seconded by Lewis Truax and a vote of unanimous agreement <br />followed. <br /> <br />Docket # 10, 1976, was presented in behalf of Vinton-Mills <br />Associates Realtors, an Indiana Partnership, by Attorney Tim Currens. <br />All legal documents were found to be in order by Attorney Lawson. <br />The petition asked that the present zoning of property on the <br />southeast corner of South Street and South Indiana Street be changed <br />from residential A to Local Business. This would permit the construc- <br />tion of a Professional Building on the 100.X 200. corner lot. Ingress <br />and Egress of Traffic would be from South Street. No remonstrators <br />were present. A representative from the V.F.W., Located Immediately <br />south of the property in question, was present but he voiced no <br />disapproval of the requested rezoning. <br /> <br />A motion to grant the re-zoning as asked in the petition was <br />made by Rebecca Hardin and seconded by Steve Edwards. The vote was <br />unanimously in favor. <br /> <br />Copies of the revised sheet of instructions for filing of <br />petitions for Zoning and variances were given to members of the <br />board to consider the new item #3. After reviewing the change a <br />motion to adopt the revised instructions was by consent. <br />
