MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION

~

The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session on
Monday, November 17, 1975, at 7:30 p.m., at the Town Hall. Those
members of the Commission present were: Mr. Bob Farmer; Mr. Louis
Truax; Mr. Ben Mendenhall and Mr. Stephen Edwards.
In absence of the Secretary of the Commission, president,
Bob Farmer, appointed Mr. Stephen Edwards to act as Secretary for
November meeting.
The minutes of the October meeting were read and approved.
The building permits for November, which had been received
to date, were reviewed by the Commission.
Mr. Farmer advised the Commission that he had in his possess-
ion a Sub-division Control Ordinance for the Town of Danville, and
that Mr. Lawson, the Board's attorney, had secured a copy of the
Carmel Sub-division Control Ordinance. These two ordinances, along
with the existing sub-division control ordinance, are to be reviewed
in detail in assisting the Commission to draft a new sub-division
control Ordinance.
A disucssion ensued concerning the erection of a new auto
car-wash in the Town, which is to be completed by Mr. Bob Keller. Mr.
Keller had not as yet secured a building permit and some activity had
begun at the building site. Attorney Lawson was directed to send a
letter to Mr. Keller advising him that it would be necessary to secure
a building permit.
Thereafter, Resolution No.1 - 1975, concerning a Technical
Committee which had been discussed at the October meeting, was intro-
duced and read in its entirety. Upon motion made by Mr. Mendenhall
and seconded by Mr. Louis Truax, Resolution No.1 - 1975, was unani-
mously passed.
The Board next discussed the erection of a building in the
Town of Mooresville by John McGuire, which construction has been com-
pleted. A building permit had been secured for the building, but
there was discussion as to whether or not the building itself encroach-
ed upon the public right-of-way, the same being Bridge./S,~~etuilding
