<br />~ ~ <br /> <br />MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />May 21, 1973 <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session <br />on Monday, May 21, 1973, with the following members present: <br />Steve Edwards; Rich Keller: Bart Hensley; Dutch Fulk: and <br />Hank Gajderowicz. The attorney for the Board, David E. Lawson <br />was also present. <br /> <br />Minutes of the last regular scheduled meeting were read <br />and approved. <br /> <br />There was no old business to come before the Board. <br /> <br />President, Steve Edwards, informed the members of the <br />Plan Commission that he had received a report from the <br />Mooresville Economic Development Commission concerning the <br />proposed construction and the leasing of a new plant to <br />Nice-pak Products, Inc. The letter was signed by Mr. Richard <br />Newcomer, President of the Mooresville Economic Development <br />Commission. Mr. Edwards replied to the letter under date of <br />May 21, 1973. His reply was read to the Board and a copy of <br />the same is incorporated in these minutes by reference and <br />attached thereto. <br /> <br />The next order of business was hearing evidence on a <br />petition for rezoning which was docketed as No/~1973. The <br />petitioner~patrum's were represented by Attorney Steve Harris. <br /> <br />Thereafter evidence was heard from Mr. Charles Amy and <br />Mr. Charles Amy, Sr. by and through their counsel Attorney <br />Merrill Moores and each of them individually. <br /> <br />Said remonstrators also presented evidence through Mr. <br />Tom pittman a traffic engineer for the State of Indiana. Remon- <br />strators also presented evidence pertaining to real estate <br />values in the area should the rezoning be permitted through <br />Mr. Hans Nowa, a real estate agent and Mr. Delbert Hobson <br />pertaining to problems regarding traffic flow in the area. <br /> <br />The Board also heard evidence from operators of five (5) <br />businesses located in the village Shopping Center as to their <br />feelings on the traffic flow on Indiana Street presently and <br />in the event rezoning should be permitted. <br /> <br />Evidence was also offered by other interested parties from <br />the floor. At the conclusion of the evidence upon motion of <br />Hank Gajderowicz and seconded by Dutch Fulk and unanimously <br />passed by the Board the matter was taken under advisement to be <br />considered further in the next monthly meeting on Monday, June <br />18, 1973. <br />
