~ ~ MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION May 21, 1973 The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session on Monday, May 21, 1973, with the following members present: Steve Edwards; Rich Keller: Bart Hensley; Dutch Fulk: and Hank Gajderowicz. The attorney for the Board, David E. Lawson was also present. Minutes of the last regular scheduled meeting were read and approved. There was no old business to come before the Board. President, Steve Edwards, informed the members of the Plan Commission that he had received a report from the Mooresville Economic Development Commission concerning the proposed construction and the leasing of a new plant to Nice-pak Products, Inc. The letter was signed by Mr. Richard Newcomer, President of the Mooresville Economic Development Commission. Mr. Edwards replied to the letter under date of May 21, 1973. His reply was read to the Board and a copy of the same is incorporated in these minutes by reference and attached thereto. The next order of business was hearing evidence on a petition for rezoning which was docketed as No/~1973. The petitioner~patrum's were represented by Attorney Steve Harris. Thereafter evidence was heard from Mr. Charles Amy and Mr. Charles Amy, Sr. by and through their counsel Attorney Merrill Moores and each of them individually. Said remonstrators also presented evidence through Mr. Tom pittman a traffic engineer for the State of Indiana. Remon- strators also presented evidence pertaining to real estate values in the area should the rezoning be permitted through Mr. Hans Nowa, a real estate agent and Mr. Delbert Hobson pertaining to problems regarding traffic flow in the area. The Board also heard evidence from operators of five (5) businesses located in the village Shopping Center as to their feelings on the traffic flow on Indiana Street presently and in the event rezoning should be permitted. Evidence was also offered by other interested parties from the floor. At the conclusion of the evidence upon motion of Hank Gajderowicz and seconded by Dutch Fulk and unanimously passed by the Board the matter was taken under advisement to be considered further in the next monthly meeting on Monday, June 18, 1973.
