Mr. Holloway told the commisson the soil reports had been done by St....lay Soil ~ <br />Services, but the evaluation was not yet in. He had the green cards, had added building / , _IS"" <br />lines, and they would have to get a variance to build a house behind the existing garage. <br />One existing barn would be eliminated. Mr. Holloway said he was asking for the plat to <br />be approved contigent upon the variance and septic permits. Commissioner Crouch <br />asked if the bam to be eliminated was the mini barn or the bigger barn. Mr. Holloway <br />will get clarification. Julia Parrott of Indianapolis spoke to the commission saying she <br />was the daughter and was wanting to build a home by her parents so she could take care <br />of them. Commissioner Bennett asked if the size of Lot #1 was too small. He said the <br />easement to the North was a Septic easement. Ms. Parrott told the commission that at <br />one time her dad had owned all five acres and her dad had already put the septic on the <br />other property and has a recorded easement. Mr. Holloway told the commission a <br />variance was approved for this easement at the previous BZA meeting. Motion was <br />made by Commissioner Crouch, second by Commissioner Williamson to approve plat <br />contigent upon evaluation for septic and a variance for building the house behind the <br />existing garage. Motion carried 5-1, Commissioner Bermett opposed and Commissioner <br />Bruner abstained. <br /> <br />Next, Mr. Holloway presented Victorian Properties for a two lot minor plat, This <br />building is across from Tim Currens on East Main Street and also fronts on North Indiana <br />Street at Guido's Pizza and also has a courtyard in back. The property dates back before <br />the turn of the century. Now, this plat would would make Lot 18, Guido's on North <br />Indiana Street, and Lot lA would be the photography studio. Town attorney Tim Currens <br />told the commission is essence what the plan commission would be doing is just creating <br />two separate lots, one facing North Indiana Street, lB, and one facing West Main Street, <br />lA. Commissioner Bruner asked if there was a basement access for Lot IB. Mr. <br />Holloway said he was not sure, but they will have to address the utility issue before the <br />plat was signed. Motion was made by Commissioner Crouch, second by Commissioner <br />Bruner to approve plat based on utility easement and signatures on plat.
