Attorney Currens told the commission a Special Exception had been filed for the August
BZA meeting for property at Heartland Crossing. The Plan Commission needs to make a
finding of how the Special Exception, location and character, will affect the land use.
This area had been designated retail and a church wants to build there and that is
allowable by Special Exception at this location. We need to report back to the BZA. The
property is located off County Line Road and consists of 4.4 acres. A motion was made
by Commissioner Bryant with a second by Commissioner Bruner to make a favorable
recommendation to the BZA. Motion carried unanimously.

Building Inspector, Joe Beikman, reported forty-two (42) permits and fifty-nine (59)
inspections.

Commissioner Williamson asked if property at the comer of North Indiana Street and
County Line Road was zoned residential. They have started a produce stand and traffic is
very bad with parking blocking the road. Mr. Beikman will check on this but he told the
commission there was more than this place selling produce. Councilman Bryant asked if
a pennit should be required if a produce stand is open more than three or four days a
week. Commissioner Williamson said the commission allows this under an agriculture
zoning not residential. Mr. Beikman said the Police Department could enforce the
parking. Attorney Currens will look into the zoning.

There being no further business to come before the commission at this time, a motion was
made by Commissioner Bruner with a second by Commissioner Corbin to adjourn th
meeting. Motion carried 8-0.

A~..~

i 1J1lA1/
Secretary
/ "-.
,
/

/
