field sites, with the easement, and a three-bedroom home would cover everything.
Commissioner Bryant said he still wanted the two-acres in there with the new wording.
Commission Young said they could come in and ask for a variance. Ross Holloway said
he thought the overriding interest in going from one acre to two acres is the density you
want in a rural area. That has to be the driving interest. You need to make a decision as
to the density you want. Commissioner Bryant said that was his point he was making.
Commissioner Young said he did not have a problem with the two acres. Commissioner
Bruner said it was fine with him. Attorney Tim Currens will draft this and publish for a
public hearing for the next Plan Commission meeting in October. He will circulate it to
the commission members before the next meeting.

In other business, Commissioner Bryant asked about a couple of storage facilities. One is
on Old St. Rd. 67 N behind the auto parts store and the other is on Old St. Rd. 67 South
by Dalton Trucking. They are both zoned I-I and both appear to be running a storage and
dismantling of vehicles or plain junkyard, both of which are not permissible in an I-I
zoning. Attorney Currens said his understanding was this was a storage lot for towing
not for junk cars. When they went in there that is what they said they were doing. They
are a wrecker service. Commissioner McGuire's concern was the pollution of the ground
by oil and fluids. Commissioner Williamson said he thought in an I-I zoning the lot was
to be paved. Joe Beikman will investigate both of these. Commissioner McGuire said
outside storage in I-I couldn't be visible to the public. Joe Beikman said this was rezoned
under the old ordinance as Industrial period.

Commissioner Bryant wanted to follow up on the Brentwood Drive car situation. Joe
Beikman sent a letter but hasn't heard back from him. So, Joe will cite him in to the
October meeting.

Joe Beikman, Building Inspector reported twenty-six (26) permits and seventy-one (71)
inspections.

The Plan Commission meetings will go to 6:00 P. M. at the November meeting. Also at
the October meeting the commission will need to decide on meeting dates for November
and December due to the Holidays.

The next meeting of the Mooresville Plan Commission will be October 28, 2004 at 7 :00
P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall.

ATTEST:

There being no further business to come before the commission at this
Commissioner Bruner made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commi si
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
