Members present
were Tobey Dolen, Chief Viles, Sandy Perry, William Snyder, Captain Allen, and Debra
Dotson. Not present was George Ditton.

The meeting was called due to Larry Mason's Disability Retirement. Paperwork was
provided during the meeting, which discussed Larry Mason's disability and consisted of:
Larry Mason's application for disability, beneficiaries, letter from Mason's family
physician suggesting to seek disability, letter from Mason's cardiologist suggesting he
seek disability, letter from ChiefViles suggesting that Mason seek the opinion of the
department physician, and a letter from Dr. Wymer, the department physician, suggesting
that Mason seek disability.

Mason's medical condition has been diagnosed as having coronary artery disease. It was
suggested by Dr. Midla, Dr. Labin, and Dr. Wymer that he seek disability retirement.
Due to Mason's disciplinary leave, his last date of work is unknown by Sandy Perry and
will require further exploration. This is related to his disability benefits only as discussed
during the meeting.

Motion was made to accept the application and approve the application for Mason's full
disability. All in favor were the members present. Captain Allen indicated that he had
verbally obtained a vote of favor from George Ditton prior to the meeting in regards to
Mason's disability retirement. ChiefViles abstained from the vote due to the
disciplinary proceedings involving Larry Mason. The vote rested as 6-0-1.

Motion for adjournment was made by Tobey Dolen.
