MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF METROPOLITAN POLICE <br /> COMMISSIONERS MEETING <br /> APRIL 15, 2004 <br /> <br />The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Dr. Knierim welcomed everyone <br />to the April 15th Police Commissioners Meeting. <br /> <br />In attendance were Commissioner's, Dr. Knierim, Dean Kays, and Chuck Berwick. Also <br />present was Attorney Tim Currens. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />SOP's 9.0 & 9.01 <br />9.00-Added Sec 4-0 Tolerance, paragraph A. Added some language and changed <br />supervising officer to the Chief or highest ranking officer. <br /> <br />9.01-will be reviewed and tabled until the next meeting. D-L should be shifted over to <br />USE. <br /> <br />Reserve SOP: <br />Add-under Qualifications, Cannot hold more that 1 Law Enforcement Badge (or) Shall be <br />restricted to serving only this Police Force in this capacity. <br /> <br />New Officers: <br />The new Officers are doing fine at the academy. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />The Expidetion was discussed. The commissioners wondered about putting blue stripes <br />on it. They will discuss it further with the Chief and the Captain. <br /> <br />Screens for the Police cars were also discussed. <br /> <br />Next meeting will be on May 20th' <br /> <br />Commissioner Berwick motioned to adjourn. Commissioner Kays seconded. <br /> <br /> <br />
