k <br /> <br /> MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF METROPOLITAN POLICE COMMISSIONERS <br /> JULY 17, 1997 <br /> <br /> The Town of Mooresville Board of Metropolitan Police <br /> Commissioners met aZ its scheduled meeting July 17. 1997 <br /> with Board members Tom Warthen, Dr. Richard Soughers and <br /> Dr. Dennis Knierim being present along with legal council <br /> Rod Bray. The meeting was called to order by Tom Warthen. <br /> The Board proceeded to the pledge of alligence. <br /> <br /> The Board approved the minutes of the last meeting. <br /> <br /> Under old business, Tom Warthen gave an update on the Cops <br /> Fast Grant, advising they were still waiting on the paper- <br /> work before seekiffg approval from the Town Council for the <br /> position. <br /> <br /> Under new business, Dr. Soughers asked the status of new <br /> hire Greg Shue. Chief Viles explained that he was still <br /> waiting for test results of his physical to be returned. <br /> <br /> Tom Warthen wanted to formally thank Dutch Faulk for the <br /> mowing he has been doing in front of the Police Department. <br /> He also congratulated Chief Viles on his upcoming third year <br /> anniversary as Police Chief. <br /> <br /> Tom Warthen advised that the Town Council's Meeting on <br /> <br /> the salary ordinance was scheduled for July 31st at 7:30 pm. <br /> The next Commissioners meeting will be held August 21, 1997. <br /> There being no further business to come before the board, <br /> motion was made by Dr. Soughers and seconded by Dr. Knierim, <br /> the meeting was unanimously adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
