MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF METROPOLITAN POLICE COMMISSIONERS <br /> MAY 21, 1998 <br /> <br /> The Town of Mooresville Board of Metropolitan Police <br />Commissioners met May 21, 1998 with Board members Dr. <br />Dennis Knierim, Tom Warthen and legal council Timothy C. <br />Currens being present. The meeting was preceded with the <br />pledge of allegiance, then called to order by Dr. Dennis <br />Knierim. <br /> Tom Warthen made motion to approve the minutes of the <br /> <br /> last meeting, which was seconded by Dr. Knierim. <br /> Under old business, Chief Tim Viles advised that the <br /> Department had recieved thank yous from Mooresville High <br /> School for Career Day, the Mooresville Park Department for <br /> the Bicycle Rodeo. and from a citizen on the Easter Egg Hunt <br /> at the Park. He advised that Officer Julian would be finished <br /> with Basic Training at the end of June, and that Officer <br /> Collins is entering the third phase of the F.T.O. Program. <br /> Danny Allen is now in charge of the F.T.O. Program. <br /> Under new business, Tim Viles advised that the depart- <br /> ment's part time dispatcher has taken a full time position <br /> of dispatch within the department, and that he needs to look <br /> at replacing the part time position. He also advised that <br /> the roof at the Police Department needs replacing, and he has <br /> recieved two bids. All bids are not in. <br /> From the floor Ted Cook, Dispatch Supervisor, gave <br /> statistics on a 20 day test period reflecting shift activity <br /> for dispatch. <br /> <br /> <br />
