The floor space is also comparable or <br />better. Mr. Holloway drew attention to one of the hand outs, which was a picture of the <br />proposed buildings. <br /> <br />Commissioner Young asked if the sides ofthe building would be brick or vinyl. Mr. <br />Holloway answered that it would be a heavy vinyl. <br /> <br />Commissioner Logan asked Mr. Holloway what the current zoning is, Mr. Holloway said, <br />that it was zoned R-l. Commissioner Erhart asked what the square footage was, if there, <br />would be sidewalks along Indiana Street and would it be stated that the vinyl siding <br />would be .048. Mr. Holloway said that living space would be 1100 square feet, there, <br />will be sidewalks on Indiana Street and yes, it will state the heaver vinyl would be used. <br />Commissioner Mc Guire ask, what set backs on the front would be. Mr. Holloway said, <br />it would be 25 feet. Commissioner Williamson stated the he could not see what would <br />make the buildings worth $300,000 any better than the doubles a street over. Mr. <br />Holloway said that each unit would approx. 140,000 to 150,000 and that Mr. Striebeck <br />has had it work in Indianapolis. <br /> <br />Neal Almond who lives at 101 E. County Line Road expressed several concerns. John <br />Sheridan 177 E County Line Road spoke of a house being for sale next to him. His <br />concern is, if that house has not sold in over two years, how could this sell for much <br />more. <br /> <br />Commissioner Williamson said he thought putting in a couple of homes would be a better <br />solution for this property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Logan feels that the property just as well stay empty. <br /> <br />After, more discussion about restriction, wording and other projects in the area, <br />Commissioner Bryant motioned to deny a continuance, the motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Williamson, the vote was 4-4. A motion to grant a continuance made by <br />Commissioner Erhart, the second came from Commissioner McGuire, the vote was 4-4. <br />At this time Commissioner Williamson motion to give a negative recommendation to the <br />Town Council, the motion was seconded by Commissioner Bryant. The motion carried 6- <br />2. <br /> <br />The next item to be heard was; rezone 2 lots on Old State Road 67 for Habitat for <br />Humanity. Pete Foley spoke in behalf of Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Foley explained the <br />project as two Habitat homes being built on two lots with one being, 110x75 and the <br />other being, 115x75. Mr. Foley explained what Habitat for Humanity is. It is local and a <br />nonprofit organization that provides a way to help eliminate poverty housing in Morgan <br />County. He also said that if this is granted, they do partner with the home owner in seeing <br />that the property is cared for. Mr. Foley introduced board members Dave Stafford, Susan <br />Brooks, Ray Land and Larry Floyd. <br />
