Dear Mr. Daravanis, On Friday, September 4, my secretary brought over four (4) notices to be placed in the Public Notice section of the Times. She gave the notices to Sue at the front desk and them to her as there were so many notices and descriptions. When the paper explained came out on Wednesday, September 9, two (2) of our ads were incorrect, one (1) was partially correct, and one (1) was not in at all. This is the first time that we have had a problem with our ads. We place public notice ads at least once a month concerning various projects that our going before the different Committees here in Mooresville, so needless to say it is very important that these ads are correct. Due to this error we now have to postpone two (2) projects until the October Plan Commission meeting, which seriously delays any plans our clients have for their projects. We also had all the mailings ready to go out on these projects and now we have to destroy the letters and envelopes and start over again. Please understand that we appreciate everything the Times has done for us, but we also need for you to know how costly it is for us if the ads are not correct, not even mentioning the potential cost to our clients in project delays. We will now have to place two of our ads again and pay another charge for the ad that was incorrect. Since the Mooresville Zoning Ordinance requires us to place our ads in the Times we are at your mercy and we would hope more diligence is used in the future. Sincerely, Ross O.
