Holloway & Associates presented the Swinney Bros. Exc. rezone froln Agricultmc to R1C and <br />Preliminary Plat. This property lies between Collett Acres and Collett Meadows on l~andersdale <br />Road. The same covenants as Collett Acres 1 & 2 would be used. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Abbott to recommend to the Town Cotmcil <br />they rezone this properly from Aghculture to R1C. Motion carried 9-0. This rezone will be <br />heard at the July 7th Town Council meeting. <br /> <br />Preliminary Plat Approval: Kevin Julian of 221 Collett Dr. E. stated problems with drainage and <br />sink holes from Landersdale South. After much discussion, motion was made by Cmnmissioner <br />Abbott, second by Commissioner McGuire to accept Plat as a Preliminary Plat with Final Plat to <br />go before the Tech Committee to tie down covenants and restrictions. Motion carried <br />Probably will be August before Final Plat is ready. <br /> <br />The Blair Rezone, property located at 1591 St. Rd. 144, 6.915 acres, was tabled l¥om thc May <br />meeting. The rezone is requested from Agriculture to R-3. The clients want to construct and <br />operate apartments for the elderly and disabled thru HUD Section 42. Four or Five buildings <br />with two floors each. Deacceleration lanes would be installed. Legal Counsel, Tim Currens, <br />said our Rezoning Ordinance does not guarantee that these apartments would always be rented to <br />the elderly and disabled. Motion was made by Commissioner Young, second by Commissioner <br />Pygman to recommend this request be denied based on the Comprehensive Plan states low <br />Density. Motion carted 9-0. This will come before the July 7th Town Council meeting. <br /> <br />Building Inspector Joe Beikman reported fifty-seven (57) permits and one hundred forty lbur <br />(144) inspections. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, a motion was made <br />by Commissioner Campbell, second by Commissioner Young to adjourn. <br /> <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Plan Commission will be Thursday, July, <br />23, at 7:00 P.
