One two-sided face plate on the existing Lowe's
sign on State Road 67, one pick-up wall sign 6 feet by 9 feet on rear of building, and 24
foot by 9 foot sign on all other side elevations. This would by 200 sq. feet of additional
signage.
Motion was made to approve additional 200 sq. feet of signage was made by Mr. Justice
and second by Mr. Young. Motion carried 4-0.
Next was Carr Custom Home. Representing Carr Custom Homes was Mr. Terry Smith
requesting a variance to build over property line on lots numbers 51 and 52 in Pioneer
Country Estates. The home will be approximately 3000 sq. feet; it will meet all regular
setback requirements, but will cross over the lot line.
Motion was made to approve Carr Custom Homes to build over lot lines in Pioneer
Country Estates lots number 51 and 52 by Mr. Kramer and second by Mr. Justice.
Motion carried 4-0.
Mr. Young asked Mr. Currens if we should look into changing our sign ordinance. The requests the board is getting for signs
that are being used elsewhere. Mr. Currens feels that the sign ordinance should be
updated.
Motion was made to adjourn by Mr. Young and second by Mr. Kramer.
The next meeting for the Board of Zoning Appeals will be July 12, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. at
the Mooresville Town Hall.

Don Barry, President

ATTEST:
