Motion was made for approval to use Sewer Developer Availability Funds to extend the <br /> sewer line out Hadley Road by Councilman Mathis and second by Councilman Dolen. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Next was the sewer availability fee for the Steak & Shake restaurant on St. Rd. 67 in the <br /> Mooresville Town Center Development. Mr. Beikman submitted the following sewer <br /> fees: <br /> <br /> Availability Fee: 5.6 E.D.U x $1100.00 = $6160.00 <br /> <br /> Connection Fee: 5.6 E.D.U. x $900.00 = $5040.00 <br /> <br /> Motion to approve the sewer availability fees of $6160.00 for Availability Fee and <br /> $5040.00 for Connection Fee was made by Councilman Dolen and second by <br /> Councilman Pygman. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Next was the alley at 128 E. South Street to be paved or graveled that was tabled from <br /> last meeting. Councilman Dolen stated that he had looked at the alley and talked with <br /> <br /> Mr. Keller and Mr. Coyle. Mr. Dolen stated he would like for the alley to be back as it <br /> was before the sanitary sewer was replaced. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen, to level and <br /> reseed the alley. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Next was A1 Homaday, Brown Township Trustee. Mr. Waxthen said he had talked with <br /> Mr. Hornaday and the Ambulance Service for the Town of Mooresville will be tabled <br /> until next meeting. <br /> <br />Next Police Commissioner, Dennis Knierim DDS, asked for additional appropriation to <br />pay off the lease on the 5 police cars model 2000. This money was to come from the sale <br />of the old cars at auction. <br /> <br />Motion to approve the advertisement for additional appropriation from the General Fund <br />was made by Councilman Mathis and second by Councilman Dolen. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Next Fire Chief, Les Farmer, reported he had the controls for the new siren and had a call <br />into the electrician to install them. The sirens should be up and running by the end of the <br />week. Councilman Mathis asked if the sirens could be sounded at 5:00 P.M. each day <br />and Mr. Farmer said he was told they could not sound the sirens. Mr. Farmer stated they <br />could only program a certain number of jobs into the controls and that the police <br />department could not promise they would be able to sound the sirens each day at that <br />time. Mr. Mathis asked Mr. Farmer to check with Federal Signal to see if there was not a <br />way to have the siren sound each day. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilmen Dolen, to have the <br />siren sound at 5:00 P.M. each day. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported 22 calls, 10 impounds and 6 returns. <br /> <br />Councilman Mathis reported that Economic Director, Helen Humes, would be looking <br />into hiring an assistant. <br /> <br />Motion to approve the payment of the claims was made by Councilman Clark, second by <br />Councilman Dolen. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Next Town Council meeting will be May 15, 2001, at 6:30 P.M. at the Mooresville Town <br />Hall. <br /> <br />There being no further business motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Dolen, <br />second by Councilmen Clark <br /> <br />:gaUdy R.
