Motion was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Council- <br /> woman Overholser to table awarding the bid until the April 3, 1990 <br /> Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by <br /> Councilman Heald to purchase two backhoe's. The old backhoe <br /> will be traded. The bid of Rudd Equipment will be accepted in <br /> the amount of $38,859.00. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Council- <br /> woman Overholser to appoint Joe Beikman as the sewer collection <br /> manager with no increase in pay. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> EDC Director Randy Haymaker reported to the Council that the <br /> 1% Food and Beverage Tax was passed by the legislature. <br /> <br /> Mr. Haymaker also informed the Council that the Downtown <br /> Revitalization Committee will contribute $3,500.00 for the side- <br /> walk around the ~aul Hadley Memorial. The balance of the project <br /> will be paid from the EDC budget. <br /> <br /> Mr. Haymaker reminded the Council that the Planning Commission <br /> will meet Thursday, March 22, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. The Planning <br /> Commission will act on the Redevelopment Plan at this meeting <br /> and it is important the Council attends to show it's support of <br /> the plan. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by <br /> Councilman Ballard to appoint Joe Beikman project manager for <br /> the sidewalk project at the Paul Hadley Memorial. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Brent Callahan, Park Superintendent informed the Council <br /> that construction of the new shelter house has been started. <br /> <br /> Street Superintendent Joe Beikman informed the Council that <br /> he needs a sewer easement at North Park. Council attorney Tim <br /> Currens will work with Town Engineer Bill Abbott to obtain the <br /> easement. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilman <br /> Forbes to approve the bills and claims. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Town <br /> Council at this time motion was made by Councilman Forbes and <br /> second by Councilman Heald to adjourn.
