169 <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Council- <br /> woman Overholser to have the Handicapped Parking Sign removed. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> Councilman Edwards requested that a blind pedestrian sign <br /> be placed at the entrance of Victor Drive, since Mr. Hogarth <br /> of Victor Drive recently became blind. <br /> <br /> Council President Ballard reported that fire engine #13 is <br /> un-operational, and would like to make some sort of progress toward <br /> purchasing new fire equipment. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director, Randy Haymaker, advised the <br /> Council that Darryl Swinney is seeking to use the contractor finance <br /> law for the sewer extension from Roberson Woods to his development <br /> on Landersdale Road. <br /> <br /> Council President Steve Ballard appointed a committee of <br /> Councilman Edwards, Councilwoman Overholser, Building Inspector Beikman, <br /> and Town Council ~ttorne~:~Currens to investigate the possibility of <br /> eRtending the 15-Year Contractor's Law to Swinney Dev. on Landersdale Rd. <br /> <br /> Cemetery Sexton, Ed Bucker, brought to the Council's attention <br /> about a small parcel of land that may be purchased bY the town for <br /> the cemetery. Mr. Bucker explained that he would like to see <br /> some sort of drive on this parcel of land. <br /> <br /> Council President Ballard informed the Council that Linley <br /> Pearson would be at Town Hall on Thursday, October 22, 1992. <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Revitalization Group requested that the 1st half <br /> block of East Main Street be closed between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. <br /> December 5, 1992 for Victorian Christmas. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilman <br /> Edwards to close the first half block of East Main Street between <br /> 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. December 5, 1992, for Victorian Christmas. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by <br /> Councilman Edwards to pay the bills and claims. Motion passed unani- <br /> mously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilman <br /> Edwards to adjourn.
