184 <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br /> Viles to allow Caperton Development to place entry way monuments in <br /> the town right-of-way for Roberson Woods, Roberson Village and <br /> Knightsbridge Subdivisions. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was.made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman <br /> Heald to have three.street lights installed in Springmill Subdivision. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported he had seventeen (17) <br /> Calls, ten (10) animals impounded and two (2) returned to there <br /> owners. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Viles <br /> to award the cemetery mowing bid to Pitman Mowing Services based on <br /> the quality of prior work they have done for the Town, the quality <br /> of equipment they own for this type of work, and the fact that in <br /> the past Pitman Mowing Services has not damaged headstones in the <br /> process of mowing. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser' to pay the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at <br /> this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Viles, second by <br /> Councilman Edwards. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town <br /> Council will be held Tuesday, April 20, 1993 at 7:30p.m. at the <br /> Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Pr~ident <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer J <br /> <br /> April 20, 1993 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met for their regular scheduled <br /> meeting on Tuesday, April 20, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville <br /> Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Steve <br /> Edwards, Tim Viles and Steve Ballard. No members were <br /> <br /> Council member Dick Heald pointed out in the April 6, 1993 <br /> minutes that Mr. Cobb's first name is "Greg" and not "Gary". <br /> <br /> The minutes were approved as corrected. <br /> <br /> Mr. Greg Cobb, Vice-President of Crystal Flash operations, <br /> updated the Council on the progress of their undergroud clean-up. <br /> Mr. Cobb explained that they were doing weekly checks on the sewer <br /> system to make sure there was no sign of "Benzine", which has <br /> caused cancer in male laboratory rats. Mr. Cobb went on to explain <br /> that one would have to drink up to two liters of water contaminated <br /> with Benzine for 70 years for it to have effects on humans. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ray Hatmaker, 29 Victor Drive, appeared before the Council <br /> to inform them that a day care was being run at 13 Victor Drive. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported he had (14) calls,, <br /> four (4) dogs impounded, and returned two (2) to owners. <br /> <br /> <br />
