193 <br /> <br /> August 10, 1993 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council held the Pre-Adoption Hearing for <br /> 1994 Town of Mooresville Budgets on August 10, 1993 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Tim Viles, Steve Edwards, Pat <br /> Overholser and Steve Ballard. Councilman Dick Heald was absent. <br /> <br /> Ms. Shirley Welker, 763 North Indiana Street appeared before <br /> the Council to protest the amount of the proposed 1994 Town of Moores- <br /> ville budget. Ms. Welker presented a petition in opposition to the <br /> 1994 budget containing signatures of ten (I0) Mooresville taxpayers. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser to approve the second reading of Ordinance #5-1994 An <br /> Ordinance for Fire Protection Service Charges. Motion carried unani- <br /> mously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles, second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser to approve the second reading of Ordinance #9-1993 An <br /> Ordinance Providing for the Inspection, Repair or Removal of Unsafe <br /> Buildings and for the Maintenance and Repair of Vacant Structures. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman <br /> Viles to approve the second reading of Ordinance #8-1993 An Ordinance <br /> Annexing Contiguous Territory to the Civil Town of Mooresville, <br /> Morgan County, Indiana. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser to allow Police Chief George Ditton to work with Newby <br /> School in regard to traffic control on Memorial Drive when school <br /> starts. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br /> Town Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br /> Edwards, second by Councilman Viles. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will <br />be held Tuesday, August 17 1993 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville <br />Town Hall. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> Minutes of the previous regular meeting and the pre-adoption <br />budget hearing were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Ms. Linda Perry of the Mooresville Junior Girls Basketball <br />League appeared before the Council to ask permission to hold a <br />roadblock on Saturday, August 21, 1993. <br /> <br /> <br />
