There being no further business to come before the Town <br />Council at this time, motion was made by Councilman Dolen, <br />second by Councilman Hensley to adjourn. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town <br />Council is Monday, October 7, 1996 at 7:30 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> ~resid~nt .~ <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk Treasure~ / <br /> <br /> October 7, 1996 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in a regular scheduled meeting <br /> on Monday, October 7, 1996 at 7:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town <br /> Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Vice- <br /> President Andy Pygman, Toby Dolen, Bill Wright, and Jim Hensley. <br /> No members were absent. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman <br /> Dolen to approve the minutes of the September 16, 1996 meeting. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Marci Allen, a Mooresville High School student, appeared <br /> before the Council to thank them for allowing Mooresville High ~-~ <br /> School to have a Homecoming Parade in the Town. <br /> <br /> Dean Mayfield of Mayfield Insurance brought a proposal for <br /> Health Insurance before the Council~ He presented two plans, one <br /> was John Alden Insurance and the other was Accordia. After much <br /> discussion, Town Council President Mark Mathis asked the Clerk- <br /> Treasurer, Sandy Perry to meet with Dean Mayfield and compare the <br /> the two (2) plans with the Health Insurance (Fidelity Security) <br /> we have at the present time. <br /> <br /> Unfinished Business: Councilman Pygman informed the Council <br /> the November 4, 1996 meeting will be on the eve of the Election and <br /> the Election Board wants to set up in the Town Hall that evening. <br /> The Town Council decided to keep the meeting on November 4, 1996, <br /> but meet in a room in the back of the Town Hall. <br /> Councilman Pygman questioned the increase in franchise fees <br /> between the Town of Mooresville and Comcast Cable in relation to <br /> the increase in monthly bills of Comcast Cable users. Town <br /> Attorney will inquire about the increase with Comcast and report <br /> back to the Council. <br /> Bid specs will be sent out this week to Engineering Companies <br /> for work to be done at the Waste Water Treatment Plant. The bids <br /> are to be returned by 4:00 P. M. on October 28, 1996. --~ <br /> A discussion was held concerning the remodeling of the Town <br /> Hall. An elevator was priced, but found to be too expensive. <br /> If an elevator could be used, the thought was to put the Town Court <br /> upstairs. Councilman Hensley will head a Committee to work on the <br /> plans for the remodeling of the Town Hall. <br /> A discussion was held on two (2) big chuck holes on West Main <br /> Street in front of First Indiana Bank. Councilman Pygman asked <br /> if the Town could fill the chuck holes. Town Attorney, Tim Currens <br /> stated we need to request this from the State of Indiana. Street <br /> Commissioner, Joe Beikman will call the District (Crawfordsville) <br /> to inquire about the repair. <br /> <br /> <br />
