Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve Ordinance # 9 1996 - annexing the Bothwell Property located on <br />Johnson Road into the Town of Mooresville. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />President Mark Mathis announced the advertisement was in several <br />newspapers for the EDC position. <br /> <br />The Proposals for the Waste Water Treatment Plant were opened. The <br />Town received two (2). One proposal was from Beam, Longess, & Neff. <br />The other Proposal was from HNTB. Dan Tingle, acting Superintendent <br />of the ~TP will review the proposals and report back to the Council. <br /> <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-five (25) calls, <br />six (6) impounded, and six (6) returned. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to <br />approve the payment of the claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Town Council at <br />this time, motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman <br />Pygman to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council <br />will be Monday, December 2, 1996 at 7:30 P. M. at the Mooresville <br /> Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, <br /> Bill Wright, and Jim Hensley. Vice-President Andy Pygman was <br /> absent. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright <br /> to approve the minutes of the November 18, 1996 meeting. <br /> <br /> Councilman President Mark Mathis read a letter from the Revitalization <br /> Committee asking the Town of Mooresville to close East Main Street <br /> for the Victorian Christmas on Saturday, December 7, 1996. All the <br /> Council members agreed. <br /> <br /> Next bids were opened for the cleaning contracts. Two bids were .------ <br /> received. The bids were as follows: <br /> <br /> Karen Beam $ 1,056.00 per month' <br /> <br /> Scrubbin Angels $ 1,500.00 per month <br /> <br /> The motion for the cleaning contract for 1997 was tabled until the <br /> December 16, 1996 meeting. <br /> <br /> Serena and Ned Hillers appeared before the Council with a problem <br /> of flooding of their property. They live at 1019 Honeysuckle Drive <br /> in Crafton Meadows. Greenland Homes were the Builders. Council <br /> President Mark Mathis stated that unfortunately the Town cannot <br /> spend taxpayers money on something that is not the Town's fault. <br /> <br /> <br />
