Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pypman to raise the assistant inspection employee pay from $10.00 per inspection to $15.00 per inspection. Motion carried 4-1. Councilman Hensle¥ opposed. Councilman Dolen gave the Animal Con%tel Officer's report: ,...__ Twenty (20) calls, SiX (6) impounds, and four (4) returned. Mooresville Park District President, Jim Ransome appeared before the Council askin9 permission to use Food and Beverage Tax money to buy 4,38 acres of land adjoining the Park from Sarolta Loudermilk. The asking price is $15,000 per acre and two appraisals have been obtained. Planned use is picnic .areas and part of the walking trail. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve the use of Food and Beverage Tax money, not to exceed $72,900.00, for the purchase, platt, and fencing of the 4.28 acres. Motion carried 5-0. The Council agreed that a check was tc be made to the Senior Citizens for $2321.50 and a check to the Community Foundation for $300.00 for a fund for the Senior Citizens. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Py~man to approve the payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. There being no further business to come before the ~ Council a~ this time, motion was made by Councilman Dolen, ~----- second by Councilman Wright to adjourn the meeting.
