In regards to the use of a sign in a residential area, <br />motion was made by Vern Kimmel to pass the variance with a <br />two 12) year limit. Tom Warthen seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried 3 - 1 with Alan Krammer opposing. <br /> <br /> Mr. Phil Smith of Wehrle & Smith appeared before the <br />Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals representing Mr. & Mrs. <br />Timothy Dunn of 2141 Rooker Road, Mooresville in requesting <br />the Board to grant a temporary variance for a mobile home to <br />be placed on their property which consists of six (6) acres. <br />The property now accommodates one primary residence, a <br />kennel, and a pond. The Dunn's request the variance to be <br />terminated upon the death of Mrs. Dunn's grandparents, Mr. & <br />Mrs. Cross, who are in failing health and no longer to care <br />for themselves. The Cross's would be living\ in the mobile <br />home. Medical reports were submitted to the board outlying <br />the health problems of Mr. & Mrs. Cross. <br /> <br /> Several surrounding property owners submitted a letter <br />to the board stating their concerns and opinions of placing a <br />mobile home in this neighborhood. Attorney Timothy Currens <br />made the letter a matter of record for this filing. <br /> <br /> Timothy Currens stated that the purpose of this variance <br />was for two (2) primary residences to be allowed on one (1) <br />lot. He explained that under the Town Ordinance we did not <br />allow for a hardship variance no did we have provisions for a <br />temporary variance. Timothy Currens further explained to the <br />Board that if this variance was to be passed that it would <br />allow for two (2) permanent primary structures on this parcel <br />of land with no restrictions as to ownership or time. <br /> <br /> Considering the findings and facts on the Developmental <br />standards, Tom Warthen made the motion, second by Vern <br />Kimmel, to deny this variance. Motion to deny carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> Alan Krammer announced that all Members were invited to <br />attend a Plan Commission workshop this Saturday, February 24, <br />1996 hosted by the Plainfield Plan Commission starting at <br />9:00. <br /> <br /> A letter sent to the Board of Zoning Appeals was passed <br />on to the Mooresville Plan Commission by Attorney Timothy <br />Currens. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the <br />Mo~resville Board of Zoning Appeals at this time, motion to <br />ad]ourn was made by Vern Kimmel, second by Don Barry. Motion <br />carried 4 - 0. <br /> <br /> <br />
