October 28, 1996 <br /> <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in Executive Session on Monday, <br />October 28, 1996, at 6:00 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall for <br />the purpose of interviewing five (5) applicants for Fire Chief. <br /> Pres£~ent ~ <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />S an~dr a~~~ur er <br /> <br /> November 4, 1996 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in a regular scheduled meeting <br /> on Monday, November 4, 1996 at 7:30 P. M. in the new Meeting <br /> Room to be, at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Vice- <br /> President Andy Pygman, Toby Dolen, Bill Wright, and Jim <br /> Hensley. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Dolen <br /> to approve the minutes of the October 21 and October 28, 1996 as <br /> written. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Tom Bothwell of 660 North Johnson Road appeared before the <br /> Council wanting to be annexed into Town of Mooresville so he <br /> could hook onto the sanitary sewer system. Motion was made by <br /> Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Wright to annex the <br /> property of Tom Bothwell 660 North Johnson Road. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. Mr. Bothwell is to send a letter of intent along <br /> with a deed and legal discription of the property to Town Attorney <br /> Tim Currens to proceed with the legalities. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilman Dolen <br /> to approve the Deed of Dedication of Rooker Run Section 1 & 2 <br /> subject to the using of Escrow Funds for completion of the infra- <br /> structure. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright <br />--%o approve Ordinance ~ 8, the Morningstar PUD owned by Hoston <br /> Bibte.j Motion carried unanimously. Ordinance ~ 8 was signed by <br /> all Town Council members. <br /> <br /> President Mark Mathis scheduled an Executive Session for the purpose <br /> of Economic Development for Thursday, November 7, 1996 at 6:00 P. M. <br /> at the Mooresville Town Hall with a Public Meeting to follow at <br /> 7:30 P. M. <br /> <br /> Councilman Bill Wright asked if the Council was going to advertise <br /> for an EDC Director. Councilman Hensley explained the Council <br /> had been on hold because the Morgan County Economic Development <br /> was trying to get support for a county EDC Director. This item <br /> will be discussed more at the Executive Session. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor reported thirty-eight (38) calls, <br /> twelve (12) impounded, and five (5) returned. <br /> <br /> Judge Paul Sterrett reported he was "pleased beyond words" (concerning <br /> the remodeling for the Town Court in the Town Hall). <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer Sandra Perry presented the Ordinance to appropriate <br /> one-hundred thirty three thousand, nine hundred seventy two dollars <br /> ($133,972.00) EDIT money to spend from for the remodeling of the <br /> Town Hall. <br /> <br /> <br />
