MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met for its regular meeting on
January 16, 1991 at 7:00 P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Present were Board
members Don Barry, Vern Kimmel, Robert Tucker, Alan Kramer and Steve oschman. Also
present was the Board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens.
A motion was made by Vern Kimmel to approve the minutes of the October, Novem-
ber and December 1990 meetings. A second was made by Robert Tucker. Motion
carried~unanimously.

John Mills, attorney representing the Mooresville Friends Church requested
a variance on their behalf to allow for more than one primary structure to be placed
on a parcel of ground.

John Mills noted that they wished to build a new parsonage with approximately
2200 sq. ft. where the former parsonage was located. This would be on the North-
west corner on approximately % acre of ground. Access to the parsonage would be
off of the existing parking lot for the church and would not interfere with Newby
School. John also noted that if the meeting had to purchase another piece of ground
to build on that it would create a hardship for them.
Plans were then submitted to the Board for their review. Also present from
the church were John Heschelman, the surveyor who prepared the plans, Maurice Smith
and Norman Connell.

Members of the Board felt that this would be an improvement to the property.
Vern Kimmel then made a motion to grant a variance to the Mooresville Friends
Meeting, Alan Kramer seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

The Board then elected new officers for the 1991 year. Alan Kramer was
nominated for President by Steve Oschman, Rober~ Tucker s~conded,.motion carried
unanimously. Steve Oschman was nominated for Vice-President by Vern Kimmel, Alan
Kramer seconded, motion carried unanimously. Don Barry was nominated for Secretary
by Alan ~ramer, Vern Kimmel seconded, motion carried unanimously.

There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned.

~~,~~~~ Don Barry, Chairman
Ro~-~rt ~o~, Secretary ~ --
